Demi Lovato has finally opened up about her friend break up with her former BFF/fellow Disney alumna Selena Gomez... well, sort of. Last night (Aug. 14), the "Really Don't Care" singer appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live and was put in the hot seat by TV host Andy Cohen.

At the end of the game "Plead The Fifth," the host asked Lovato if she could reveal why she unfollowed Gomez on Twitter... and she'd already passed on an earlier question, forcing her to answer the question (in the most political way possible).

"I plead the sixth, if that's in the game," Lovato said nervously before realizing she'd have to answer the question. She then went in for a vague explanation... "I think it's just one of those things where people change and people grow apart."

Watch the interview below (via E! Online), in which Lovato also plays "Shag, Marry, Kill" with Joe Jonas, Justin Bieber and Simon Cowell.

Lovato notoriously unfollowed Gomez in July, after tweeting a (since deleted) picture of herself with the caption "Swimming away from all your bulls**t. Bye b***h."

Previously, the two had been noted best friends, coming up together on the Disney Channel (Lovato starred in the Camp Rock films and Sonny With a Chance while Gomez was on Wizards of Waverly Place).

The reasoning beyond the end of their friendship (for now) remains unclear, despite Lovato's WWHL interview, though it's rumored it all has something to do with Gomez's on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.
