Louis Tomlinson cannot believe he has a number one album in the UK.

The 30-year-old singer's second solo album "Faith In The Future" dethroned Bruce Springsteen's 'The River' after a close struggle, and Louis said that it was not necessarily something he has expected.

He told Louis told OfficialCharts.com that his record is number one on the Official Charts and he still can't believe he actually gets to say that now. He added that he would want to express his gratitude for the wonderful support the fans have shown him over the past week and throughout his career.

According to the former One Direction member - who is beyond grateful, he deems it a tremendous honor that he did not necessarily anticipate.

For others, this is a long time coming. After all, all three other One Direction members also achieved the same feat in the past.

"Faith In The Future" is Louis's 2020 follow-up to his debut solo album "Walls."

He is the fourth member of One Direction to reach the top of the UK album charts with a solo release.

Zayn Malik's 2016 debut album, "Mind Of Mine" achieved number one, Harry Styles has had two number ones with his self-titled 2017 record and 2022's "Harry's House," and Niall Horan's "Heartbreak Weather" reached number one in 2020.

Louis Tomlinson talks openly about his life since the dissolution of One Direction. In an interview with The Telegraph, the singer-songwriter described his battle to build a name for himself, while his former bandmate Harry Styles appeared to be enjoying solo success.

Tomlinson added that he'd be lying if he said it didn't concern him at first, but it's not unexpected to him that Harry is the most commercially successful since he matches the profile of a modern star." Each member of One Direction auditioned individually for the British singing competition "X Factor" in 2010, but Simon Cowell and the other judges placed them together as a band.

Despite placing third on the show, the band went on to achieve immense success, performing together until their dissolution in 2016. Less than a year later, Tomlinson released his first track with Steve Aoki, titled "Just Hold On." He reached No. 2 on the charts in the United Kingdom and No. 52 in the United States.

In April 2017, Styles launched his debut single "Sign of the Times," which hit No. 4 in the United States and went multi-platinum. While he is amazed by Styles' achievements as both a singer and an actor, Tomlinson made it apparent that he has no ill will against his former bandmate, stating that nothing but love exists between them and that he is proud of Styles.
