The rapper has three albums under her belt, including "The New Classic" released in 2014, "In My Defense" in 2019, and "The End of an Era" in 2021.

Almost like a foreshadowing, her last album predicted her next career move as she sold off "100 percent of her existing catalog."

The Australian native is the genius behind several massive hits like "Problem," "Black Widow," and "Team."

Azalea hails from Sydney, Australia. According to reports, Azalea sold everything-from her very first album to her most recent-for an eight-figure deal. However, Billboard also noted that there is a clause that states she can still earn from the future revenue of her masters.

When news of the rapper selling her master recording and publishing catalog has come out, many fans asked what was Azalea's motive.

"But why did you decide to sell it until now? And did you had this in your hindsight preciously but were waiting for a perfect deal?" A fan asked.

She simply replied, "I have a larger business I want to invest in."

"The fact that you explained ppl thousands of time that you make more money with just a few streams on your independent songs than with those songs," another wrote.

"Literally. Also didn't I not write those songs? But wait-I just sold them for 8 figures? So I guess I did write them after all.... Lmao. Like. Just be talking for years not knowing, [sic]" Azalea replied.

When asked how the media became aware of Azalea's brand new deal, she revealed that she was the one who disclosed it.

Breakout Rapper

The rapper, who seemingly came out of nowhere in 2014, reportedly has a net worth of $15 million.

Her albums and singles were sold by the millions, despite feeling like an outcast in the hip-hop community. However, it did not hinder her from pursuing a career in the industry.

By the age of 16, she already decided that she will chase her dreams of becoming a musician in America, and what was supposed to be a vacation became a life-changing decision.

According to reports, news of the rapper's newly bought catalog comes after Domain Capital's announcement that it had $700 million worth of compiled investments for their commingle entertainment fund.
