Metro Boomin is treating the release of his next album "Heroes & Villains" like a movie premiere, and he's assembled an all-star cast for his new short film -- including Young Thug and Gunna, who as far as well know, are in prison.

The "Heroes & Villains" short film is set in Superman's birthplace of "Metropolis" and stars Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, the reliable narrator, and LaKeith Stanfield as a crazed driver of a flame-spewing vehicle.

Young Thug and Gunna, both currently incarcerated members of YSL, make humorous cameos as a pair of fumbling anchormen.

The Gibson Hazard-directed clip exudes superheroic fervor, especially once Metro dons his Boominati chain and enters his Metromobile.

Metro and Morgan are close, having previously collaborated on the 2020 album "Savage Mode II" with 21 Savage - one of the album's tracks features Freeman's vocals.

The whole "Heroes & Villains" album will be released on December 2.

At the moment, Young Thug's attorneys have filed a motion to prevent YSL members' RICO trial from using his lyrics and "social media poetry." According to court records obtained by AllHipHop, Young Thug's legal team requested that songs, lyrics, and music videos be excluded from the future trial's evidence. Attorneys asserted that their client's lyrics were protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution and Article I, Section I of the Georgia Constitution.

They said that inclusion and use of these lyrics/poetry/artwork against [Young Thug] in his impending trial would be a breach of the Constitution and an abuse of discretion, excessively biased and unconstitutional. they added that using these lyrics/poetry/artwork/speech against [Young Thug] is racist and discriminatory since it will poison and prejudice the jury.

The use of lyrics as evidence, according to attorneys, constitutes "character assassination." Young Thug's legal team attempted to defend his right to free expression. "[Young Thug] has the absolute right, like all persons in America, to exercise lawful speech/expression," his lawyers argued. "Therefore, these lyrics/poetry/words/speech/artistry must be excluded from the Indictment and excluded from all testimony and evidence presented in trial."

Additionally, any videos, photographs, posts, or like images containing any lyrics/words/speech/poetry/artwork must be eliminated from trial. Said videos and the like are protected expression/speech.

May saw the indictment of Young Thug, Gunna, and over two dozen YSL members for racketeering and gang activity. In August, Thug was slammed with six additional criminal accusations. The RICO trial against YSL is slated to begin in January.

The prosecutor's request to prolong the trial until March was denied by Judge Glanville. The jury selection process will commence on January 5, 2023. Judge Glanville anticipates the trial will run between six and nine months.
