Taylor Swift is one of the greatest singers in recent memory.

Starting off as a Nashville country girl, Swift instantly became one of the best-selling artists of this generation. Aside from her legacy, Swift's legacy also extends to the generation of artists she has inspired throughout the years.

Among the artists whose Swift's influence and legacy are clearly visible were best friends were Olivia Rodrigo, and Conan Gray.

That is why everyone was clearly surprised, including Swifties, when Conan Gray, who is a full-pledged Swiftie, revealed that he hasn't had the chance to listen to "Midnights," for weeks since it was released.

Speaking to the Zach Sang Show, Gray was candid in his response when Zach asked him what his favorite song from "Midnights" was.

"People are gonna really hate me for saying this. I actually haven't I haven't listened to all the way through yet. I just can't lie about it," Conan revealed to the show.

Taylor Swift's "Midnights" was released last Oct. 21, 2022, and dropped on the Billboard 200 albums chart with a record-breaking (and setting) debut the week after.

"I've been on tour all year and especially with new albums, the type of album that you wanna listen to all the way... sit down and do it diligently... I just feel like I haven't had the time yet," he furthered. "Thank you for accepting me but I don't think the viewers are gonna accept me for that answer."

While the pleading during the interview seemed to have worked for some, the reception on social media of her statements was a bit ruthless for some.

"Olivia n Him used the Taylor love train to boost their careers and Im not mad he hasnt listen is just the way he says it is a bit weird and seems just fake. Like the way they where full on fans and putting it out there and then this lol he is so fake," a user commented.

In the past few years, Rodrigo and Gray have underscored their support for Swift. In fact, Swift even sent the two early access to "You Belong With Me (Taylor's Version)" before it was actually released to the public.

"I'm really like working and studying almost 16 hours of day and my wrapped list has midnights songs. That is not an excuse conan was also in my top artist but im done with this hypocrisy," another posted.

While an actual Conan Gray, Taylor Swift feud isn't actually taking place, some fans are quite convinced that Gray at some point, was riding the love train for Swift to reel in more fans to them.
