SZA's "SOS" is one of the most-talked-about albums of the year. Albeit it comes in the last month of the year, it has still managed to become one of the biggest albums of the year, and by far the biggest R&B album.

According to Hits Daily Double, "SOS" is projected to debut at around 275,000 to 300,00 album equivalent units.

To date, only five albums have managed to debut more than 300,000 album equivalent units.

Taylor Swift has the biggest debut with "Midnights," Styles' "Harry's House," Beyonce's "Rennaisance," BTS' "Proof," and Drake & 21 Savage's "Her Loss."

In a tweet, SZA seemed to be anticipating her impending debut atop the charts.

"I just wanted to say THANK YOU ...genuinely thank you," she said.

Should the projections actually come to fruition, SZA would score her first No. 1 album. Her critically-acclaimed album "Ctrl" only ranked No. 3 at the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The project is expected to take the reigns from Metro Boomin's "Heroes and Villains," next week.

As for Top Dawg Entertainment, SZA's "SOS" will be its second bill topper. The first one was Kendrick Lamar's highly-acclaimed album, "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers."

Meanwhile, fans are ecstatic on the upcoming feat, sharing their excitement on social media.

"i love you the most thank you for this album and hopefully we can have some more albums in the future," a fan posted.

"We thank YOU for the masterpiece that is SOS. This your best era," another shared.

Like fans, critics were also in unison with the overwhelming support and praise for SZA's "SOS.

Per Rolling Stone, "SOS" speaks like a revenge album, either to her opponents and rivals or to anyone. The publication has given the album four out of five stars.

"It's the most assured SZA has ever sounded. And when she compares herself to Della Reese while solidifying her steeliness, it's clear she's cementing her status-"in case all you hoes forgot," the publication said.

Meanwhile, NME gave the album a complete five stars. Noting that the project was commanded to be "cohesive, organic and like every skip into a new genre is completely justified for each track." They later furthered that "SOS" is "a phenomenal record that barely puts a foot wrong and raises the bar even higher than she set it before".
