Trey Songz has a very long record of sexual and physical assault charges, and he just added another one to his list as he turned himself in after being charged of assault in New York back in October.

The R&B singer surrendered to the New York City Police Department weeks after being charged, TMZ reported.

He allegedly assaulted two individuals who were both hospitalized, and one of which was a woman working for the bowling alley where the incident took place.

According to reports, he was booked and given a desk appearance ticket for the assault before he was eventually released shortly after turning himself in.

News of Songz involvement in another assault case came to light in October, when the woman he attacked came forward and reported him to authorities.

According to HipHopDX, the second individual involved in the case came forward much later. This time, it was a man, and he alleged that Songz punched him in the eye.

From the onset, Songz was very forthcoming and cooperative with the entire ordeal. Although he has not made any statements himself, his legal team has.

"We have been proactively communicating with NY law enforcement, the DA, and all those involved," said Mitch Schuster, Songz's lawyer.

Despite surrendering to police, the singer maintains his innocence and his camp has been vocal of this as well.

"While we will respectfully and proactively work through all the appropriate channels we are confident that Trey will be fully cleared of any wrong doing."

Another One

According to numerous reports, this is not Songz's first brush with the law. He had several charges and lawsuits filed against him throughout the years, and his legal team is confident that this incident is but another one of those "money-grab" instances.

"A source close to the investigation informs us that TS has been cooperative with authorities and expects that when all the evidence is reviewed, he will be exonerated," said Schuster.

"This is another instance where those involved try to blame the celebrity with hopes of getting fame or riches."

Aside from this assault charge, Songz was also involved in a civil rape case, which was dismissed after the statute of limitations had expired before the individual filed the complaint against the singer.

He is also involved in a case wherein a woman accused Songz of sexually assaulting her in 2013, and had video footage to support her claim.
