Coventry City is located in England's West Midlands and is a part of Warwickshire county.

Hall, along with several other members of The Special, was born and raised here, and this city is considered the birthplace of the ska band itself.

That is perhaps why the city took the news of Hall's death with much sorrow, and fas from the city pleaded a special tribute for The Specials' fallen frontman.

According to reports, fans asked Coventry City's football for a special tribute to the singer.

"As a tribute on Wednesday, can we wear the two-tone third kit from a couple of years ago?" A fan asked.

"We're not able to do this, but we will be paying our tribute on Wednesday night," replied the official Twitter account of the football club.

Sure enough, during one of the games hosted a day after Hall's death, the city's football club paid tribute to the singer by having a big signage board dedicated to Hall.

It reads: "Hello, I'm Terry and I'm going to enjoy myself first. -Terry Hall 19/03/1959 - 18/12/2022"
