People are so used to hearing the same Christmas songs (and covers) over and over again. While a lot of different genres of music have been released this 2022, a handful of Christmas songs are also worthy of being listened to!

We can pause that Mariah Carey perennial hit or even that Michael Buble ballad that we have been playing since all of mankind knew that Rudolph the reindeer's nose is red.

Now, we have chosen 6 new Christmas songs, although some are reimagined covers of old ones, this 2022!

"Santa Baby" by Alicia Keys

Santa Baby isn't something new, but Alicia Keys, who had always been phenomenal on every song she sings, puts a new sultry and blues flair on the perennial hit. Sung by Eartha Kitt with Henri René in 1953, the song is still alive and kicking up today. "Santa Baby" is also the title of Keys' first album, where the now-famous cover came from.

"Someday at Christmas" by Lizzo

After smashing the summer with her "About Damn Time," Lizzo hymns a powerful carol with "Someday at Christmas." Covering the iconic 1966 Stevie Wonder yuletide hit, Lizzo sang the song on Amazon Music's 2022 Festive Compilation.

Santa, Can't You Hear Me (Live) by Kelly Clarkson & Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson's vocals are a match made in heaven. That is why their fans were delighted when they dropped the live version of their "Santa, Can't You Hear Me," a song they performed on Kelly's 2021 holiday special on NBC.

"A Nonsense Christmas" by Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter defied expectations on her new album "Emails I Can't Send." One of the most loved hits from the album, "Nonsense," gets a holiday makeover from Carpenter in a new song called "A Nonsense Christmas."

"Everybody Loves Christmas" by Chord Overstreet

Chord Overstreet staged a comeback with his starring role opposite Lindsay Lohan on the Netflix holiday hit "Falling For Christmas." Overstreet, a "Glee" alum, got back to the recording studio to record his new song, a carol recalling his love for the holidays.

"I'll Be Home For Christmas" by Camila Cabello

Lastly, Camila Cabello's "stylized" version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas," might be the most famous among all of the songs in this list. Cabello broke the internet when at a performance, she pronounced Christmas as "Chwismois," prompting a barrage of memes and jokes online, poking fun at Cabello for overworking the song.
