Mel C, widely known as Sporty Spice, is one of the most famous members of the Spice Girls to date. The English-born artist is responsible for hooking the world in the pop culture phenomenon that is Spice Girls.
But even after the band disbanded and took a hiatus in 2001, Mel C became her own self because of her sheer talent and influence.
Very recently, Mel C made a huge career move; although some would argue that it is small, the magnitude of it to her fans speaks volumes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mel C pulled out of a concert gig in Poland for New Year's Eve following the organizer's questionable decisions.
"In light of some issues that have been brought to my attention, that do not align with the communities I support, I'm afraid I will no longer be able to perform in Poland as planned on New Year's Eve," Mel C wrote in a recent tweet. "I'll be back there very soon. Hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for 2023."
Per the publication, the show that Mel C was referring to was the one organized by the Polish state station TVP. But despite Mel C quitting the lineup, the show will go on as planned months ahead.
As of this writing, Mel C has not yet furthered the reasons why she pulled out of the festivals.

But per the outlet, the "predominantly Catholic" country has received substantial media attention lately after the establishment of many questionable ideology-limiting areas in the country.
In 2020, parts of Poland had deemed LGBT ideology-free zones. These are regions in the country that have been declared unwelcoming of the widely-accepted ideology.
The conflict of the gig allegedly came about when Mel C received information about these questionable state declarations. This would go in conflict with the singer's notability in the LGBTQ community for her charitable work on the community. In 2021, she received the Celebrity Ally prize from the British LGBT Awards.
An interview with Closer Magazine even had Mel C revealing that she even doesn't mind being assumed to be lesbian as she is comfortable with her sexuality.
"It's so funny, I've had lesbians say to me, 'You are a lesbian' and I'm like 'I'm so confused, I don't think I am, but maybe I am?' I don't give it much thought," she said. "But, I really don't mind being called a lesbian. There have been times in my life where I've thought, 'I wish I was a lesbian.'"
