Modest Mouse Drummer Jeremiah Green is in an uphill battle with his Stage 4 Cancer diagnosis.
Earlier this week, Green's parents penned a shocking announcement on Facebook, revealing the diagnosis of their son, Jeremiah.
"Please send healing vibes for my son, Jeremiah Green, who is battling stage 4 cancer. He's is so strong and so brave and hanging in there!" Green's mother Carol Namatame said in a Facebook post along with photos of the famed drummer.
Fans of the American rock band took to Twitter, shocked by the huge revelation.
Days after Green's mother announced it, Modest Mouse, the band itself confirmed the news on an Instagram post.
"Some of you may have already heard, but I figured it would be good to hear the news directly from our camp," the post read. Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer a short while ago, and he's currently in treatment.
Jeremiah Green's cancer diagnosis had fans worrying if he would make it, given the severity of the ailment already.
Meanwhile, the band, in the same statement assured that they are positive that Jeremiah Green's cancer treatment is going well.

"It seems to be going smoothly and making a positive difference. Jeremiah, as am I, are believers in the power of positive energy, so if you would be so kind as to send 'good vibes' (to quote Jeremiah) in the direction of Jeremiah and his family, that'd be great. Thank you and love," they furthered.
According to Rolling Stone, radio DJ Marco Collins announced that the drummer is "currently undergoing chemo treatments." Despite the stage 4 cancer diagnosis, Jeremiah Green's oncologist, who is also a Modest Mouse fan, revealed that the prognosis is good.
Collins also revealed the real reason why Green stepped out on the Modest Mouse 2022 tour. Supposedly, Green, along with Eric Judy and Isaac Brock, all co-founders of the band, is supposed to embark on the North American leg of their 25th Anniversary Concert for "The Lonesome Crowded West," one of their iconic albums that was released in 1997.
Meanwhile, fans of Modest Mouse flooded the comments section with prayers and well-wishers, hoping for Jeremiah Green's speedy recovery.
As of this writing, additional details on Jeremiah Green's cancer diagnosis has not yet been revealed. It is expected that in the coming weeks, more details will unfold and be disclosed by the drummer's family.
