Jeremiah Green, popularly known as the drummer of Modest Mouse, passed away at the age of 45; what was his official cause of death?
According to Vanity Fair Magazine, the musician died on New Year's Eve. The tragic news was confirmed by his bandmates on their official social media accounts.
Sharing a photo of the late drummer, the band wrote in the caption, "Today we lost our dear friend Jeremiah. He laid down to rest and simply faded out. I'd like to say a bunch of pretty words right now, but it just isn't the time. These will come later, and from many people."
Modest Mouse concluded their statement by giving a few words of wisdom, saying appreciate the love people give, get, have given, and will get from others because their bandmate was "all about love."
After the news of his death made rounds on the internet, many fans and friends immediately shared their love in the comment section.
"Sweetest dude ever. He will be missed dearly," skateboarding legend Tony Hawk wrote.
"Total legend, nicest dude ever so sad. good memories hanging with him in 90s at old Cha Cha," one user wrote.
"I'm so so sorry. I know it may seem weird crying over a stranger, but I really looked up to Jeremiah as a drummer," another one wrote.

Jeremiah Green Cause of Death, Final Days
His family also confirmed his death in a Facebook post with her mother, Carol Namatame, writing that her son passed away after battling cancer. She noted that the musician died "peacefully in his sleep."
The Green and Namatame families request the public to give them privacy, but they assured friends and fans that they would announce more information regarding a "Celebration of Life" memorial in the coming months.
"Jeremiah's loved ones would like to thank everyone for their continued well wishes and support," she concluded.
The recent news comes a few days after his family confirmed that the drummer was struggling with stage 4 cancer. His bandmates also revealed that he spent his last days seeking treatment.
In a previous post, Modest Mouse noted that his treatment was "going smoothly" and "making a positive difference."
Since the drummer and his bandmates are believers in "the power of positive energy," they wanted fans to send their good vibes to him.
