Due to the possibility that her days as a singer are gone, Dua Lipa could soon put down her microphone.
The "One Kiss" singer is reportedly putting on her best acting face as she prepares to rule the acting world and maybe win an Oscar, according to a source who talked to The Sun.
In the upcoming film "Argylle," starring Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, and Bryce Dallas Howard, the 27-year-old British singer-songwriter will make her acting debut.
Dua is rumored to have caught the acting bug at this point and is looking to take on additional parts in the hopes of earning an Academy Award nomination.
The "Levitating" hitmaker also intends to research the business end of the acting industry and develop her own projects.
"Dua's gotten a ton of screenplays and is particularly interested in taking on serious drama that will generate Oscars attention," the insider told the magazine.
They stated, "She wants to start really pursuing acting."
"She intends to launch her own TV and movie production business so that she and her group may choose projects they believe in and sell them through larger studios."
Dua Lipa has already hinted that she will be in the film "Argylle," which is based on a book by Elly Conway that hasn't even been published.
Even though she is still making "baby steps," she expressed her excitement about the spy drama's creation.
"That's also the greatest approach to discover yourself, rather than throwing yourself into the deep end with something that maybe you can't really take head on," Dua said on the iHeartMedia podcast.

Along with her music and acting, Dua Lipa gained notoriety last year due to rumors that she was dating Trevor Noah. She, however, denied the allegations of dating.
The "Kiss and Make Up" singer said that after splitting from her longtime boyfriend, Anwar Hadid, it was her first year of being alone in a significant amount of time.
"I've never really had the opportunity to just be alone and simply think about myself and sort of be fairly selfish," the singer said.
Dua Lipa's net worth was estimated by Forbes to be $35 million as of December. This came from both her modeling work and her music earnings.
She made a name for herself modeling for large and small fashion businesses at the age of 15, including the online catalog for ASOS and other retail stores.
