Growing up as Britney Spears' sister may come with advantages, but the disadvantages also come with it.

Jamie Lynn Spears revealed that she struggled with her identity growing up because of how influential her sister was.

"Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young," Jamie Lynn shared during her appearance at "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test."

"I'm so proud of her, love her to death, but I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I don't really have anything for myself."

The Spears sisters' relationship has been a rocky one, to say the least. The pair, who used to be close until Britney was placed under conservatorship by their father, are now somewhat estranged.

However, it is still undeniable that Britney deeply cares for her sister, but feels betrayed by her as well.

According to reports, Jamie Lynn talked about failing to help Britney during the conservatorship.

She recognized that their family used Britney's fame for financial gain, which also helped her jumpstart her career.

"I struggled with self-esteem all the time," she said and added that she wants to be recognized more than just the popstar's little sister.

This much has been previously publicly expressed by Jamie Lynn through her memoir "Things I Should Have Said."

Britney was not appreciative of the younger Spears' attempts of atoning for her sins, and called her out last year, "Please please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books!"

Despite their very public debacle on Instagram, which happens quite frequently especially now that the older Spears is free from her conservatorship, and can freely access her social media accounts.

There have been numerous shout-outs to the younger Spears on Britney's Instagram account, with the most recent one praising her for "being so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory."

This comes after Jamie Lynn joined the "Special Forces: World's Toughest Test," however most are convinced that Britney's post about her sister isn't entirely too supportive, and leans more towards a sarcastic comment.

As of this writing, Britney is yet to react to her sister's confession about her self-esteem struggles, but fans are expecting that the "Toxic" singer will definitely have something to say regarding the matter.
