Ten people were injured when gunfire shots erupted outside The Licking in Miami Gardens, Florida, where rapper French Montana was reportedly shooting a music video.
According to WSVN Miami, Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed to the area after it received reports that a shooting was taking place at the said restaurant. It was located on Northwest 27th Avenue, and the incident took place during the evening of Jan. 5, Thursday.
Per law enforcement sources, various different crime scenes were taking place in the location.
"We're still working [the scene]," MGPD detective Diana Gourgue said in a statement to the outlet. "There are multiple shots, there are multiple cases and we're still working. We can't confirm any numbers at this moment, because everything is still fresh, and they're still investigating."
According to paramedics, there were a total of 10 victims. Four of those transported themselves to the hospital, while four different individuals were brought in by ambulances.
Witnesses on the scene were spectators of Montana, who was shooting a music video at the time.

"[He asked to] call his mother and see if we can get spare car keys and make sure, you know, he's OK, and then the gunshots went off," Cedric Mogul, a fan who was on the scene, revealed. "At least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle."
Fans have taken to Twitter, wondering if French Montana was brought to safety during the violent altercation.
According to Billboard, it is not yet known where French Montana was during the happenings. The spokesperson for Montana, Miami-Dade PD public information officer, has not yet responded to inquiries on the condition of the rapper.
However, a witness told TMZ that they saw Montana's security team rush to get the rapper out of the area safely after the commotion started.
WSVN reported that a spokesperson from The Licking, the restaurant where Montana was, said that they were unaware that he was shooting at the parking lot until only when the accident took place.
As of this writing, the investigation into the shooting spree is still ongoing, and while one victim was in critical condition, no fatalities have been reported.
