2NE1's Minzy has established herself as one of the most prominent K-POP idols in the world, with 14 years of experience under her belt, she needs no introduction.

Minzy, born Gong Min-ji, grew up in the K-POP industry, and thanks to the great success of the girl group, 2NE1, she is also one of the most famous K-POP idols to date.

2NE1 was wildly successful and was well-received, and despite being disbanded, they are still considered one of the biggest girl groups in South Korea.

With that being said, Minzy, along with the other former members: CL, Park Bom, and Sandara Park, can definitely still bring in hundreds and thousands of fans to a show.

That's why when they reunited at Coachella in 2022, fans couldn't get enough of the four-membered group. However, despite the reunion, an official comeback for the group is nowhere in sight, especially with all members pursuing solo careers.

The K-POP star has a reported net worth of $1 million and is now a proud owner of a dance studio based in Seoul.

As the main dancer of the group, it comes as no surprise that Minzy decided to open "Millenium Dance Academy." Through this, the idol remains quite popular among fans and netizens.

She has been tapped to be the brand ambassador of several brands like Fila and Nikon, and her YouTube channel, "MINZY TV," is doing very well.

Solo Career

According to reports, Minzy's success did not come easy to her. Entering the industry at the tender age of 15, she had to literally work her way up from the bottom.

Although being a rookie for one of the biggest entertainment companies in South Korea definitely helped, she was restricted in many ways.

As a solo artist, she was able to express herself more freely, and make and release music on her own terms.

"I think being a solo artist is a new experience for me, a new chapter of Minzy," she said in a 2021 interview while she promoted her new song "Teamo."

To add to her long discography list, Minzy also entered the realm of K-Dramas, making music for a show titled "Rebel."

She admitted that going solo has done wonders for her mentally, and she now enjoys a successful career and strong media presence in her home country.

On her 29th birthday, fans from both South Korea and all over the world flocked to social media to greet her.
