It has been a month since Gunna was released from prison, and he's trying his hardest to carry on with his life as a rapper-which might prove to be a little bit difficult given that he's charged with felony charges and half the hip-hop community kinda hates him.

So the rapper did what he knows best, which is to make music. He teamed up with German rapper Ufo361 and released "Brodies."

"Brodies" marks Gunna's first song release since he was let out of prison after entering a plea deal back in December 2022.

According to reports, there isn't any information on when the convicted rapper recorded his parts of the song, but one thing is for certain.

He does not rap about his prison stint on the song, in fact, he does not even mention the trial or prison at all.

HotNewHipHop reported that the Ufo361 song is produced by Neal & Alex, Oz, and The Cratez, and it is actually a song mostly about friends, which is expected, given that the title is, in fact, "Brodies."

Ironically, though, it seems like Gunna would have to keep whatever "brodies" he has left close to him because he's losing them by the day.

According to reports, the hip-hop community isn't too happy with him entering the plea deal-which resulted in him being sentenced to five years with one served in prison.

Lil Durk dissed Gunna in his song: "What happened to Virgil, he probably gon tell." Meanwhile, another rapper, Meek Mills, unfollowed the rapper from Instagram.

Although Gunna isn't the community's favorite person right now for allegedly throwing Young Thug and other YSL associates under the bus, he has maintained that he did not do anything of that nature.

His statement adamantly denied helping the prosecution's case, "While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way."

Gunna, born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, was hit with racketeering charges, along with other members of the YSL gang.

He addressed the accusations by claiming that he joined YSL for entirely different reasons: "My focus of YSL was entertainment - rap artists who wrote and performed music that exaggerated and 'glorified' urban life in the Black community."
