Per the publication, a representative from the League revealed that they will cover all costs associated with the show. However, they also said that they pay the halftime performers the "union scale"

Forbes defined that the "union scale" is a "fraction of the six or seven figure" fee that these kinds of artists usually earn.

In the past, Super Bowl performances are priced at more than 10 million dollars. For The Weeknd's Super Bowl performance, he has spent $7 million already just to put up his own show.

As for the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime show of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, the National Football League pooled around 13 million dollars just to cover the massive amount of performers involved during their performance.

But for Rihanna's Super Bowl performance, the NFL confirmed that both Apple Music and the League will be sharing the cost of the entire performance.
