While other netizens seemed to have taken the news without a grain of salt, many have pointed out that the rumor was, in fact, just a satire.
Coming off from obvious jokes on the internet that have targeted gullible netizens, the rumor spread like wildfire, which sparked even more concerns given the age gap between the two and the coincidence of it all.
Davidson is fresh from perhaps one of the biggest relationships and breakups of 2022 - with Kim Kardashian. The comedian has endured a lot of jabs and bullets from Kim's ex-husband, Kanye West, who has been verbally abusive on social media about their relationship.

Is Ice Spice and Pete Davidson dating?
TMZ called the rumors off, saying that Pete Davidson is not dating Ice Spice because he is currently dating his "Bodies Bodies Bodies" co-star Chase Sui Wonders.
The outlet snapped the two on their very public display of affection on the Daytona 500 last Feb. 20, 2023.
Netizens have likened Davidson to Marvel villain Thanos for collecting women as infinity stones.
Davidson famously dated Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, "Bridgerton" actress Phoebe Dynevor, and even model Emily Ratajkowski.
Ice Spice, on the other hand, seemed to be unfazed by the internet speculation that grew out of hand as she is focused on building her rap game even better.

Ice Spice 'Boys A Liar Pt 2' Success
Ice Spice and PinkPantheress' link-up for "Boys A Liar Pt 2" seemed to be a huge win for both of them.
Last week, the two newbies charted the song on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 at No. 4, marking their first track to reach the coveted Top 10.
After debuting at No. 14, the track vaulted to No. 4, coming after Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," SZA's "Kill Bill," and Metro Boomin's "Creepin"
On this week's Billboard Hot 100 charts, "Boys Are Liar Pt 2" achieved a new feat as it now reached a new peak at No. 3, eclipsing "Creepin'."
According to Chart Data, "Boys A Liar Pt 2" was reported to have been the #1 best-selling single in US units for the first time this week, with 225,000 units.
Given its new feat, it could be in a serious three-way battle at No. 1 next week with Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" and The Weeknd & Ariana Grande's "Die For You (Remix)."
