Cardi B and Offset are known as one of hip-hop's it couples, but apparently, that isn't the image McDonald's is looking for.

According to reports, McDonald's franchisees are not too pleased to have the couple aboard the fast food giant's train all because of the lyrics of their music.

They even pulled out the "Golden Arches Code," and cited a particular clause noting that "Partnerships with celebrities and influencers that have potential risk to damage our brand based on statements they have made or their positions on certain issues" are not allowed.

This all stems back to a very specific section of the Code that says "Music partnerships associated with content that includes offensive language in the lyrics."

Music fans should know by now that both Cardi B and Offset have used some pretty colorful language in their songs, after all, they are rappers and they're only playing the hip-hop game.

Cardi B and Offset's Meal

While the Cardi B and Offset McDonadl's meal is actually yet to be taken off the menu, here's a quick glimpse of what to expect if you order it.

It reportedly consists of a cheeseburger, BBQ sauce, and Coke-all of which are Cardi's favorites from McDonald's; it will be served alongside Offset's go-to: a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Hi-C Orange Lavaburst, as well as large fries and apple pie, to share.

The meal was first announced on Feb. 14, along with a McDonald's commercial starring the couple.

"Cardi and Offset are an iconic couple who have their own date-night tradition at McDonald's that goes back years," said the Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer for McDonald's USA, Tariq Hassan.

"We're proud to share a little piece of that with customers across the US with our latest campaign, which is about love and celebrating the special moments we all share over McDonald's."

The couple's meal is just the newest rollout from McDonadl's "Famous Orders," which includes promotions from some of the biggest celebrities and stars like BTS, Mariah Carey, and Travis Scott, the Business Insider reported.

"Across our marketing, we're focused on putting McDonald's at the center of culture," Hassan explained.

"Artist collabs have helped reignite fans' love for our food and fueled significant business momentum, both for the company and our restaurant owner/operators."
