It's been nearly two years since Zayn Malik and his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid broke up but the latter is opening up now and made a rare comment on how they co-parent their daughter Khai.
Speaking to the Times of London, the "Next in Fashion" co-host said she focuses on her career, travels overseas for her job, and crafts her work schedule whenever the baby girl is "with her dad."
The supermodel then added that they are co-parenting on different schedules because it makes her "very happy" when Khai gets to be with both of her parents. (via Page Six)
Despite separating in 2021 following the alleged altercation between the former One Direction member and Yolanda Hadid, the fashion designer noted that the most important thing to keep is "the child's happiness at the forefront."
Elsewhere in the interview, Hadid revealed her baby girl got traits of her father's British background, saying, "She's clearly a child who was grown in my stomach eating a lot of British food-breakfast, beans, curries. And she still eats like that," adding that she also say some words with an English accent. (via Yahoo!)
The model also noted that she's glad to be a young mom because, at the time when the baby was conceived, she's always been organized.
As of this writing, Zayn Malik has yet to comment about his ex-girlfriend's recent interview.

Khai was born in 2020 while the couple split the following year. The interview comes after the pair made headlines when allegations of an altercation between Yolanda and Zayn made rounds online.
The supermodel's mom, who was a part of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," was allegedly pushed into the dresser by the former One Direction singer.
The "Pillowtalk" hitmaker denied the allegations but later pleaded no contest to harassment charges in the case. He was sentenced to over a year of probation and was required to attend programs about domestic violence and anger management.
This wasn't the first time Gigi Hadid addressed her ex-partner as she greeted him on Father's Day last year and also celebrated their daughter's birthday a few months later.
Zayn and Gigi have been on-and-off since 2015, but the two never got married. In between their breakups, the model dated Tyler Cameron and Lewis Hamilton.
