Would a whole rap album from SZA be possible?

According to her label CEO, Punch of Top Dawg Entertainment, she could most definitely release, so should she just want to.

Punch, who got the beating for almost six years from SZA fans clamoring for her album release, sat down with Rap Radar Podcast and reflected on the growth and the journey it has been with SZA.

From accidentally discovering SZA in a parking lot through a merch store, the "Kill Bill" hitmaker has already gone on the highest of her musical career in the past few months.

Speaking to the podcast, Punch revealed that SZA, who doesn't identify as a rapper but has infused rap on her R&B songs, could most definitely release a whole rap album already. Per Punch, SZA has enough songs on her music bank to release a SZA rap album.

"She's always bended the genre, so it wasn't nothing new, it was just going, pushing it further," Punch said, referring to SZA's genre-bending of R&B and rap. "Like, she doing full rap records now ... That's all her, yeah, 100 percent. She got like an EP's worth of full rap records, like all the way out, no singing."

Punch also candidly reflected on SZA's growth and journey as she was signed from the label a decade ago.

"I think she's adjusting [to fame] a lot better now. I think it's finally starting to set in as to what's going on and who she is. Like, for the longest, I don't feel she connected who SZA is to Solána. But I think now, she's starting to see it, to understand," he furthered.

Since signing at the label, SZA has already racked up several Grammy nominations, a Grammy win, a Golden Globe nomination, and an Oscar nomination.

Despite her debut album "Ctrl" not winning any Grammy Awards in 2016, she won her first Grammy with Doja Cat on "Kiss Me More." Her song with TDE label mate Kendrick Lamar, "All The Stars," for the movie "Black Panther," was up for a Golden Globe nomination and Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song in 2018.

SZA also made history as one of the longest reigning R&B albums by a female on the Billboard 200 charts for "SOS" since Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and even Mariah Carey.
