The Foo Fighters are implementing stricter regulations when it comes to their concert tickets.

According to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavillion in New Hampshire, one of the venues of the Foo Fighters tour 2023, third-party bought tickets would be deemed invalid.

This means that tickets bought from a third-party entity would not be honored at the gates.

According to CBS News, the venue announced that they "turned off" the customer's rights to transfer tickets from one Ticketmaster account to another. So that means fans who have availed tickets on May 24, 2023, could not resale their tickets to other fans should they opt not to attend the concert.

Turns out, it was Foo Fighters who requested to do it after all. This is one of the band's and the Ticketing giant's efforts in curbing the resale market and thwarting scalpers who sell the tickets for higher prices. This prevents fans from entering the venue who had tickets bought from StubHub and VividSeats.

"Please be aware that this May 24 Foo Fighters show is completely sold out. Please do not attempt to buy tickets from any other source. Digital ticket transfers have been disabled for this event. No other source will be able to fulfill your order," the Bank of New Hampshire Pavillion said in a statement.

According to Ticket News, Ticketmaster is reportedly spinning up a "restricted resale platform" just for the upcoming Foo Fighters shows.

What would happen? Ticketmaster would rack up more transaction fees every time each ticket would be transferred from one account holder to another.

Fans have told CBS News their frustrations with the sudden change.

"It's an industry wide problem with these third-party vendors. They have the capability to buy 2/3 of the tickets in an instant," a fan shared.

"Ticket Center was like, 'This a legit ticket. It's good. If you get declined at the door, we will guarantee money back," another said.

Foo Fighters fans who have bought their tickets from third-party vendors have yet to receive their tickets from their email accounts. The same ticket restrictions would also most likely be in place for the Foo Fighters Alabama concert at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham.

Earlier this week, Ticketmaster faced new enemies because of their disastrous presales for BTS' Suga's North American Concert and Eurovision 2023 Song Contest.
