Justin Bieber Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Update: Has Singer Finally Recovered?

Justin Bieber had everyone worrying after he revealed that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a neurological syndrome that temporarily paralyzes half of a person's face.

Because of this, it prompted the singer to cancel his highly-anticipated world tour, which upset Beliebers worldwide.

Meanwhile, after numerous public appearances, it seemed like Bieber had finally recovered.

Justin Bieber Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Update

In a very recent Instagram story, Bieber, clad in a blue and gray hoodie, posted a video selfie of himself, seemingly giving an update about his condition.

The video, which includes an Instagram audio of Tems' "Ice T," sees the singer smiling from ear to ear, showing how the paralysis from the left side of his face has finally subsided. Check out the full video on his Instagram story.

Back in June 2022, Bieber revealed in an Instagram post his condition, which turns out to be Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a virus that attacks the nerve in the ear and facial nerves, causing the face to have paralysis.

According to The Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome happens when a case of shingles impacts the facial nerve near the ear, which leads to temporary paralysis.

The syndrome, however, can be cured with high-dose steroids and antivirals, which can be taken orally at home and are "the most important thing" for recovery.

Justin Bieber's Tour Promoter, AEG, announced that the remaining dates for his "Justice" North American tour would be postponed to give way to the artist's recovery from the complications that the Ramsay Hunt Syndrome has brought.

At the time, it was only a brief postponement, but he eventually canceled the remaining dates for his world tour.
