Ever since Lil Nas X came out as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, he had been openly expressing himself through music, performances, and fashion. However, he was recently called out for not being feminine enough as many believed it was "forced."

A user took to Twitter to share a video of the rapper's performance during the Lollapalooza in Chile. In the caption, the fan wrote, "I feel like he's not really gay or not really that feminine it's so forced."

Many users agreed with the original poster as the reply section was filled with comments like, "He look like a straight n**** tryna 'act gay.' Its so cringe to me. He just comes off as more masc than feminine so it just looks forced."

One user then alleged that his management team was behind his forced femininity, writing, "This looks forced and disingenuous. These performances by him always look stiff and forced. If you're not feminine presenting, why do performances like this. Oh that's right...it's the machine/corporation behind him.

Not all fans agree with the user's sentiments as there were also supporters who came to Lil Nas X's defense, saying he's still exploring his feminine side lately as he couldn't show it before.

Lil Nas X Twitter Issue

The recent post was not the only Twitter issue that Lil Nas X experienced over the past week as he was called out for his joke about transitioning as a female last week.

In early reports, the rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, shared an edited photo of himself as a "fully-transitioned" woman, saying the surgery was a "success."

However, the trans community and other users called him out for his actions, saying his joke was inappropriate.

The rapper then addressed the controversy by issuing an apology, writing, "apologies to the trans community i def handled that situation with anger instead of considering why it was not cool. much love to you guys. Sorry."
