Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler will drop his memoir this year.

On Instagram, the rock band's co-founding member disclosed to his followers that his autobiography, titled "Into the Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath - and Beyond," will be published on June 6.

"After spending my entire life creating memories, to eventually set aside how reserved I am, I have put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard)," he wrote. "The recollection of my life (thus far) is coming out 6/6/23. Yes, I know that 2×3=6. Although unintentional, having that as a release date suits me fine."

What Geezer Butler's Memoir Will Be All About

Butler's memoir will explore his life from his childhood in Birmingham, England, to his life as a member of the Black Sabbath. The same autobiography will share the stories behind their several hit songs, including "Iron Man," "War Pigs," and "Paranoid."

The book will also include the story of how Butler and the three rockers started as the Polka Tulk Blues Band before embracing a new name and brand. It will reportedly feature cameos by The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, and Eric Clapton.

Aside from the story of Black Sabbath's final concert in 2017, Butler's memoir will also share 30 never-before-seen photos from his archives.

The "Into the Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath - and Beyond" memoir will serve as the latest autobiography released by a Black Sabbath member. It will follow the release of Ozzy Osbourne's 2011 "I Am Ozzy" and Tony Iommi's 2012 "Iron Man."

Ronnie James Dio, the band's vocalist from 1979 to 1982, released his memoir "Rainbow in the Dark: The Autobiography," posthumously in 2021.

It makes Bill Ward the only remaining original member who is yet to write his memoir.
