Diplo has been around for years and he never fails to deliver party bangers to clubs, music festivals, and concerts. This year, it appears that the famed DJ has no plans of taking a break as he teased fans about a new album.

According to Distractify, the record producer started strong this 2023 as he began his year as he released his Major Lazer project titled "Piano Republik" for the first time in three years. Both musicians collaborated with Major League DJz in order for the record to be completed.

Aside from collaborating with other artists for his music and being known in the field of party music, some newer fans didn't know that the DJ also ventures out into country music under the moniker of Thomas Wesley.

Many fans were surprised as Diplo dabbled into the world of country music as they never expected it. Supporters will get a treat from the music artist soon as he claims that he's going to "start releasing this year."

After Wesley's first project, "Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil," the DJ/producer opened a new door to those who are exploring their music taste as he changed the definition of the genre.

"There's something about breaking rules...vI've always been attracted to it...The best [thing] you could do as a producer or DJ is really taking a chance. So I think with these records, it's what I've always wanted to do and with the whole new Thomas Wesley project," he said.

What to Expect on Diplo's New Album

Diplo may not have shared the official release date of his upcoming record, but he gave fans a hint on what's to come, saying the album will be "100% all country"

In addition, some songs would also be inspired by the 70s era.

Regarding his featuring artists, the DJ confirmed Dove Cameron and "another big country star" would appear in the record and the first new song will be dropped "in a couple of weeks."

In other reports, Diplo grew up listening to country music as he was raised in the northern part of Ontario, Canada. However, when he moved to the city, he explored different genres like rap, dance music, and EDM (Electronic Dance Music).

He was able to reignite his interest in country music after Lil Nas X dropped "Old Town Road."
