An upcoming Dionne Warwick biopic is coming, and Teyana Taylor is the one confirmed who will be playing the said music icon.
Known for her very distinct voice and acting chops, Taylor definitely has what it takes to play Warwick on any day - did we mention how much they look alike?

In a video exclusively shared with Billboard, Teyana Taylor confirmed that she would be playing the gospel icon in an upcoming biopic.
"We're already working on it, We're in the building process right now. I always wanted to make sure I could lock in with any person that I would be playing," she said in an interview with Tamron Hall.
Apparently, Teyana Taylor was inspired by another prominent Black figure to take on the role. Despite not winning that Oscar earlier this year, Angela Bassett still really did the thing - as she inspired Taylor to play Warwick. It was her iconic adaptation as Tina Turner in 1993's What's Love Got to Do With It and Jamie Foxx's outstanding depiction of Ray Charles in 2004's Ray.
"I miss when movies were like that, when you got to really get to know them and tap in," she continued.

To get to know Warwick even further, Taylor revealed that she is scheduled to meet with her on an upcoming day, so they could eat out and bond in the former's favorite Italian place in New Jersey.
"I've always been a firm believer and stood on safety. She's had a wonderful career, and I think right now is about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story because a lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent. That's not really where we want t o go."
Who is Teyana Taylor?
For those who do not know Teyana Taylor, she gained prominence within the industry as an R&B Singer and an actress. She first signed with Pharell Williams on Star Trak Entertainment but later on signed to GOOD Music through Def Jam Recordings.
Teyana Taylor has quite a slim filmography both in television and film, but she has proven her versatility by portraying different characters so far.
To date, Teyana Taylor has already released three studio albums, including "K.T.S.E.," an album which she is most known for.
