Coachella is one, if not the biggest, music festival in the world, and it amasses thousands of concertgoers annually. However, a singer recently revealed the shocking truth about social media influencer attendees that allegedly don't attend the event itself.

Taking to her official TikTok account, musician and content creator Loren Gray revealed that other creators fake their Coachella trip by posing pictures in the desert and sharing "get ready with me" videos, but don't really attend any of the concerts.

The 20-year-old singer started the video by expressing her true feelings about the matter, saying it's a "hilarious" concept and she wanted to share it with her followers as no one seems to be talking about the issue online.

"Most influencers, or a lot of influencers, don't even go to Coachella, and I think that this is such a wild fact," she said.

What do Influencers do in Coachella

The singer, who has 54 million followers on the platform, explained that some of the social media creators/influencers will book an Airbnb around the area of Indio, California, whenever there's a music event.

She later claimed that what they would do is dress up, do their makeup, pose for photos in the desert, and not won't attend the actual show itself. (via New York Post)

"They don't have wristbands, they just drive their little butts out to the desert to take Instagram photos, make TikToks, get ready with me's, whatever," she added, before saying influencers would "drive back" once they were done filming their content.

Loren Gray concluded her video by saying people shouldn't feel sad or have a "fear of misisng out" when they see Coachella content online as some of their favorite content creators didn't really attend any of the performances.

Coachella 2023

Day 1 and day 2 of Coachella 2023's first weekend were a success! Bad Bunny headlined for the first day, making him the first-ever Latin artist to do so.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK also made history for being the first KPop group to ever headline the event.

Today, fans are gearing up for Frank Ocean's performance as he hasn't returned to the Coachella stage for years now.

For fans who are staying at home and don't want to miss any of the performances, several live streams from different stages are accessible via the music festival's official YouTube channel for FREE.
