Is Frank Ocean's career over? The Guardian described Ocean's Coachella performance as a "rollercoaster ending in disappointment," and the music festivalgoers couldn't agree more.

The "Lost" singer seems to have actually lost his fire in performing, as fans began walking out during his set over the weekend, which is surprising, to say the least.

After all, Ocean has not released an album since "Blonde," in 2016, and he has not performed live in over six years as well.

Recent reports also said that the artist's fall from grace became more troubling as a source revealed that Ocean pulled out of his supposed slot in Coachella this Sunday.

Pulled Out

"Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella," Variety reported. "After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1."

"Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity. On doctor's advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg."

Additionally, the artist finally addressed his "chaotic" set last weekend: "'It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn't what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I'll see you soon.' - Frank Ocean."

Fall From Grace

As per reports, Ocean's net worth was estimated to be about $28 million, which he accumulated thanks to his music career.

However, now that his image as an artist has been tainted, coupled with the terrible effects of cancel culture, will Ocean even manage to revive his image and his music career?

Chances are, he can. According to Insider, Ocean is the greatest artist of the decade, as two of his albums-specifically "Channel Orange," released in 2012, and "Blonde"- are considered groundbreaking.

Rolling Stone named both in their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020, and he also received numerous accolades and awards because of them.

"What inspires me to make music is, I guess I'm just inspired to tell stories," Ocean said in a 2012 interview about his music writing process. "It all starts with the stories for me."

He has had seven years-and probably counting-for his next musical release, however, he has withheld any information about any future releases.

In fact, people expected that Ocean would be announcing his return during his performance at Coachella, but with the horrible reception, many wonders if he will ever release new music again.
