*NSYNC member Lance Bass revealed he earned more after he started his solo career following the group's disbandment.

Amid the vocal groups' popularity in the 1990s, *NSYNC made its own empire soon after Chris Kirkpatrick created the group in 1995. The founding member started promoting alongside JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, and Bass.

However, its success did not last long as the band announced its disbandment after announcing its hiatus.

Why *NSYNC Members Were Not Rich During The Band's Heyday Revealed

Speaking with Page Six, Bass opened up about making more money after *NSYNC disbanded two decades ago. The musician said the worst thing they ever learned was that people thought they were rich.

As for the reason why they never had a whopping amount in their bank accounts, Bass recounted the heartbreaking experience they had with the band's former manager, Lou Pearlman.

"We were famous, but we were not rich. I made way more money after *NSYNC than I did during *NSYNC," he said. "Lou [Pearlman] took all of our money. He really took a majority of all of our stuff... [made] horrible, horrible deals."

Bass said that it changed his life and led him to positive things in his life.

Pearlman was convicted in 2008 and charged with fraud. The disgraced music manager was sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment but died on Aug. 19, 2016, due to cardiac arrest weeks after he underwent surgery to replace a heart valve.

Pearlman's Ponzi scheme had 1,700 victims, including *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys.

Lance Bass Lucky To Meet *NSYNC Members

Despite the ugly experience, Bass expressed his gratitude to his former co-bandmates. The musician revealed how glad he felt that he had four brothers who kept him down to earth.

The members got the chance to have a one-night reunion at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards before meeting again to mark their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April 2018.

Four members, without Timberlake, also joined Ariana Grande at the 2019 Coachella Festival.

While *NSYNC reunion news has not been served on the table, Bass hyped fans during his interview with Billboard News in February. At that time, he shared the details of his podcast, "Lance Bass Presents: Frosted Tips," and his group's future.

Per Bass, fans should never say never since the members always reunite in unexpected ways in the past years. He also quipped it should happen before he turns 80 years old.
