Met Gala saw some of the biggest stars in Hollywood and the music industry wearing their over-the-top outfits, but none of them were prepared for Doja Cat's look as she literally dressed as Karl Lagerfeld's cat.

Aside from her out-of-this-world extravagant outfit and prosthetics, the rapper also became trending online after she was spotted vaping at the venue.

According to Page Six, a video circulating online shows the musician waiting in line to be interviewed by Emma Chamberlain on the event's carpet.

In the background, the "I Don't Do Drugs" hitmaker appears to be calm before getting a vape and smoking it despite Anna Wintour's strict no-smoking rule.

As of this writing, it's unclear if the pop star got a warning from organizers after breaking the rule.

Met Gala Smoking Issue

In 2017, Bella Hadid, Dakota Johnson, and other celebrities faced criticism after they were photographed smoking in the bathroom of the Metropolitan Museum during the event.

According to a news outlet, other stars include Rami Malek and Paris Jackson, were seen breaking the rule which caused online outrage from fans, as well as alleged donors.

An insider told Page Six at the time that they were "insulted to see these 'celebrities' smoking and taking selfies" in the bathroom because the anonymous source was a donor.

The main reason why they were not happy with them breaking the rule is because the art collection at the venue needs to be "kept 100 per cent smoke-free."

In 2018, it was reported that Anna Wintour assigned security guards outside the bathroom to detect if there are celebrities smoking inside.

Doja Cat Vaping Again Despite Health Scare?

It appears that Doja Cat went back to her vaping habits based on her viral videos despite her health scare last year.

In August 2022, the musician took to her Instagram Live to reveal that she "quit vaping" and it's been 70 days since she smoked nicotine. (via Billboard)

Removing vape from her lifestyle wasn't easy for the female rapper as she admitted that she still wanted to smoke.

Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, underwent surgery last year after she had an "abscess" in it. The reason why she had the medical condition was because she forgot she was in antibiotics when she attended last year's Billboard Music Awards and she drank wine and vaped all day long.

Her surgery led her to cancel her appearance at The Weeknd's tour and festival scheduled dates.
