Taylor Swift and Dianna Agron were really close back in 2011 to 2012, but suddenly they stopped hanging out, which caused fans to speculate what was the reason behind their falling out.

One of the most popular speculations is that the singer and actress were more than just friends; they were lovers.

This long-standing rumor has been around, and neither celebrity has confirmed nor denied anything-until now.

After years and years of speculation, Agron has finally come forward to address the rumors.

Addressing the Rumors

During an interview with Rolling Stone, she was asked if it was true that she inspired Swift's hit song "22" from her fourth studio album "Red."

"Me? Oh, if only!" The "Glee" star replied. "That's more because of a friendship than being the inspiration for the song."

When asked about whether she really did date the "Anti-Hero" singer, the actress had this response: "That is so interesting. I ... I mean, there have been many stories about my dating life that are so wildly untrue. That's funny."

Agron also warned fans from spreading misinformation around, as it might hurt someone and their reputation-which they probably should know given that they have seen Swift falling from grace and rising from the ashes.

"I think there are so many false pieces of information out there," Agron added. "That's the weirdest thing that you have to learn in this industry - you don't comment on things that are untrue, because that gives them more space.

"Maybe at the end of my career I'll write a book and go into detail on everything that was very true and very untrue."

Taylor + Dianna

Apparently, this is not the first time the actress is addressing the long-standing rumors about her relationship with Swift.

In 2012, she appeared on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where she already refuted the rumors.

"No," she replied. "Wouldn't that be juicy?"

No one knows why Swift and Agron stopped hanging out, but it seems like the award-winning singer keeps a very small and tight-knit group of friends these days, some of them like Gigi Hadid came from the "Swift Squad" which eventually fell apart many years ago.

The new members of the "Swift Squad" includes Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and the Haim sisters; however, the initial squad included Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt, Zendaya, and more.
