According to Stromae, whose real name is Paul van Haver, his health took a bad turn which led him to cancel his shows in France and Europe. Although he hoped for the best so he could return to the stage soon, he needed to take more and longer rest than expected.

"Unfortunately, I must accept today that the time I need to rest and heal will take longer than expected," he went on. "It is with my deepest regret that I won't be able to honour my promise and that I am announcing today the end of the Multitude tour."
