Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey go way back as they were previously married to each other and share twins Monroe and Moroccan.

More recently, the TV host/rapper shares details about his relationship with his ex-wife, saying living together is like having ex-president Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the same household.

Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, the "America's Got Talent" former host clarified that it wasn't about their relationship as both of that have "always been good."

"It was more about us understanding that instead of making it about our relationship and what I want or what you want, we should just do what's best for the children," he explained. (via Page Six)

Cannon did not give more details about the comparisons between the two leaders, he also didn't reveal which politician he thought he and his ex-partner resonate with.

Why Did Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Split?

According to Sportskeeda, the "Touch My Body" songstress revealed in her book, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey," that the reason behind their divorce was because of the struggles with balancing their personal and professional life.

"Making the necessary adult adjustments to being working parents in entertainment took its toll on our relationship, and the end of our marriage came as fast as it began," she added.

The pair finalized their divorce in 2014, but they continue to co-parent their children.

Since then, Nick Cannon has been involved in a controversy as he now has 12 kids from six different women. Nine of those children arrived in the span of two years.

The 42-year-old TV personality said sometimes all of his kids gather together if it's necessary, but it works better if he spends time with them individually. (via BuzzFeed)
