It was a perfect night for Mikael Arellano who dressed up like a hipster as he got the chance to finally meet his idol, Taylor Swift! For those who do not know Mikael, he was the one responsible for making the "Bejeweled" dance craze everyone knew about. The hand shimmer thing? It was his idea all along!

At the Philadelphia stop of "The Eras" tour, Mikael finally reached the peak of his fan life, as he got to meet Taylor Swift on the tour!

Taylor Swift '22' Hat Explained

In case you weren't aware, "The Eras" tour has already set up a tradition for Swifties. May it be angry shouting-singing the iconic "Cruel Summer" bridge, videotaping the whole "Don't Blame Me Performance," or even figuring out letters on Taylor's "22" shirt were highlighted.

Among these was every time Taylor Swift performs "22," she wears a black hat that she gives to a special fan. It has always been random. Back then, she gave it to Selena Gomez's sister Gracey, and to a local Texas dancer, Jaylan Ford.

On Swift's May 14, 2023 stop in Philadelphia, she gave it to Mikael Arellano - the Swiftie who single-handedly created the "Bejeweled" dance craze on TikTok. Partly due to Arellano, the song experienced a huge surge on the platform, which helped increase its streaming and radio plays.

Taylor Swift Gives '22' Hat to Mikael Arellano

Ever since Mikael Arellano was acknowledged by many for his brilliance in creating the "Bejeweled" dance craze on TikTok, Swifties are in a chorus that he should be noticed or acknowledged by Swift herself.

True enough, when the tour started, he was contacted by Taylor Nation that Swift wanted to use the dance craze with his permission on the official "The Eras" choreography. In exchange, he could get two tickets on the date and venue of his choosing.

When asked by people on social media when he is coming to see Swift, he revealed it would be at the Philly stop. However, days prior, Arellano expressed his frustration on social media that he has not yet been contacted by the crew for his tickets despite the nearing date.

Swifties then rallied online to reach Taylor Nation. Shortly after, the crew approached and gave him the tickets! Many people were delighted and manifested that he should get the rightful interaction with Swift during the tour!

Alas, they were right! During the "22" performance, Swift, after dancing the "Bejeweled" dance, gave her "signed" hat off to a screaming Arellano at the front of the stage and shook his hand tightly in a very "heartwarming" interaction.
