Paris Hilton made a huge comeback in the music industry when she released a new version of "Stars Are Blind" with Kim Petras 15 years since the iconic song was released in 2006.

The track was perhaps her most iconic song to date, considered by many as a pop culture novelty because of the massive fame and influence that Paris Hilton wielded back then. It was a part of her debut album, "Paris."

Grammy-winning singer Kim Petras linked once again with her childhood idol, Paris Hilton, on "Stars Are Blind (Paris Version)." The song was released earlier this week.

Unbeknownst to many, Petras and Hilton have collaborated before, but on Petras' debut single, I Don't Want It All," in 2017 for her music video.

Speaking to Yahoo in 2022, Petras gushed about Hilton's impact on her music career.

"She has just been such a supportive person for me. I mean, that music video that she's in? I didn't really have a budget, so her agreeing to be in it was amazing. I had, like, no followers, and I had no proof of concept," she told the outlet. "I had just put out a single, and ever since then she has just kind of been a little bit of a fairy godmother to me. She just really gets it and has been saying such nice things about my music and posting my music. I love her for that."

Now, Hilton got her for the said re-release of the iconic track. The track reached No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Similarly, the song topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs and the Dance Singles Sales charts. It also received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

In an interview with Variety, Hilton admitted that she wanted to pursue music again and thread on EDM music "sprinkled' with pop.

"It's hard, it's a very technical skill but I've made some songs already and I'm excited to see what else I can do," she told the publication. "I've got new songs on the way, and just a lot of new ideas and projects coming sooner than you think."
