As the second season of her talk show approaches, Jennifer Hudson is stirring up behind-the-scenes changes.

Reportedly, some staff members are feeling somewhat nervous as the former "Respect" actress replaces employees originally hired for Ellen DeGeneres' show.

She has enlisted Walter Williams III and Lisa Kasteler to shore up her team as executive producers.

Despite solid ratings during its first season, in which the show averaged roughly 5.2 million weekly viewers, an inside source has reported to Radar Online that a specific figure opts to fill their roster with friends rather than professionals with experience.

This decision has resulted in several people needing to hand in their resignations.

Everyone was allegedly astonished at how she thanked them for helping to get the show's first season going.

"It's completely unbelievable!" exclaimed a source with inside information. "Without them, there wouldn't even be a second season!"

The situation on-set has drawn comparisons to what occurred during Sherri Shepherd's program.

Ahead of the second season of Jennifer Hudson's show, there were reports that several members of her staff had left.

However, the singer-actress production team representative clarified that these claims were "misconstrued." Almost 95% of the staff and crew have been asked to stay on board.

The news of the reboot announcement had people buzzing, and Jennifer was incredibly excited.

She hinted that her camp has plenty more in store for viewers. "I'm thrilled to be collaborating on this project with such a talented team and our partners," she exclaimed.

However, some fear that their work atmosphere may also shift due to the changes.

"It's not a good idea to listen to that person," remarked the insider. "Jennifer needs to be mindful of those who helped kick-start her career, or else she'll pay for it later on."

Jennifer Hudson's New Boyfriend

The connection between superstar couple Common and Jennifer Hudson is palpable - they look like a pair that has been together for years, unafraid to walk hand-in-hand in broad daylight.

Last month, Jennifer and her beloved were out enjoying a romantic afternoon in the Chicago suburb where she resides.

Per TMZ, the couple strolled around peacefully for an hour and a half with their arms linked together. It was clear to all observers how close they were at that moment.

Residents in the vicinity have reported they have spotted the "Dreamgirls" actress around more frequently that week.

Although her talk show was usually filmed in Los Angeles, due to the writers' strike that's currently taking place, she has been able to return home and spend quality time with her partner.

In February, reports of a relationship between the two began to surface when the two were spotted out together at Nobu in Malibu.

Gossip had been swirling for weeks that something was going on between them after they formed a connection on the set of their upcoming film "Breathe."
