Trivium's Matt Heafy became their fans' superhero again after he saved a fan at the band's Dallas stop.

The group met its fans during its show at Dallas' The Factory at Deep Ellum Wednesday where it performed several hit songs. Amid the performance, Heafy suddenly jumped off the stage to save a fan and prevent a potentially serious injury.

Trivium Frontman Matt Heafy Saves Concertgoer

In a video posted on Twitter, Trivium can be seen playing its set normally when Heafy suddenly sees a fan near the stage, which is about to get in trouble.

A few moments later, he immediately puts his guitar down and jumps off the stage before running to the front barricade to catch the fan. They soon fall together on the floor, leading bassist Paulo Gregoletto to ask security to be on standby in front to avoid another incident.

"Hey security. You need to go the whole way across and not bunch up in the middle," Gregoletto says, as recorded in the videos. "Our singer's not [gonna be] jumping off the stage to catch people tonight, okay? We're not gonna start until there's a couple more people down here."

Meanwhile, Heafy soon took to Twitter and told the public not to ever say they do not love their fans. He confirmed that security was not present on the spot and that the fan would have gone home with a broken neck because of the incident.

Fortunately, he was quick to jump and catch the concertgoer to prevent a potential injury.

Trivium's ongoing trek is part of its co-headlining tour with Beartooth, which will wrap up on June 15 in Seattle. The band will visit venues in Tempe, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; Riverside, California; San Francisco, California; and Spokane, Washington before the tour's final day.

Matt Heafy Previously Stopped a Song

Trivium's vocalist Matt Heafy has always shown heartfelt gestures to fans on and off the stage.

A few years ago, he went online on Twitch wherein he welcomed his fans who wanted to see him perform via livestream. At one point, he halted a song performance to give heartfelt advice to a distressed fan who shared a worrying message in the chat.

Heafy told the fan that they got a lot of friends and shared how he put tough times into songs - something anyone can do, as well. He also said that one does not have to be a songwriter or poet to write down anything they feel.

The frontman also asked the fan to seek therapy with a help of a professional to ensure their safety.
