Taylor Swift is releasing the rerecorded version of her third studio album, "Speak Now," and fans all over the world cannot wait for it to drop.

An unidentified man from France thought that it was a good idea to take advantage of the "Anti-Hero" singer's fame, and get ahead of the curve; he stole and illegally sold 10 copies of the unreleased album.

According to reports, French police caught the 43-year-old man and managed to recover eight out of the 10 albums he sold. As of this writing, the whereabouts of the remaining two are still unknown.

Taylor Swift's Stolen Albums

As per the French news outlet, Alouette, the album copies were stolen from the man's workplace, which happens to be a record and vinyl pressing factory in Le Mans.

The man did not work full-time with the company and took advantage of the highly anticipated, unreleased album copies, which he initially sold for 25 Euros. When he found out that the albums could easily sell for more, he eventually doubled the price and sold it for 50 Euros each.

He explained that he was motivated to do so because of "financial problems." The man explained how he was too impoverished to afford to buy lunch.

According to reports, the man is a repeat offender; he has been charged with several other related crimes like theft, fraud, drug trafficking, and more.

He was sentenced to eight months in jail.

'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)'

Swift is releasing her version of "Speak Now" next month, but fans have been waiting for the album's release the moment the singer announced that she will be rerecording all her previous albums in an attempt to reclaim her work, which she says was "stolen" from her.

According to reports, when Swift left Big Machine Records in 2018, her music was sold to Scooter Braun a year later, which meant that the music manager had all the rights to the master recordings of Swift's old music.

Braun and Swift's feud dates back to when the music manager used to work with Kanye West.

Since the announcement, Swift has released her versions of "Fearless" and "Red."

On top of the original tracklist, the "Love Story' singer decided to sweeten the pot by finally releasing her vault tracks. For "Speak Now," Swift tapped Paramore's Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy as featured artists.
