Demi Lovato does not forget and she definitely does not forgive. The singer surprised fans by dropping a new song in support of abortion rights.

It has been a year since the Supreme Court overturned the controversial and monumental case, Roe V. Wade, which has caused nationwide distress and widespread rage.

Even to this day, many still criticize the decision-including Lovato, who just released "Swine," a song about the plight of women fighting for control over their bodies.

"I created 'SWINE' to amplify the voices of those who advocate for choice and bodily autonomy," the singer wrote following the song's release.

"I want this song to empower not only the birthing people of this country, but everyone who stands up for equality, to embrace their agency and fight for a world where every person's right to make decisions about their own body is honored."

Demi Lovato's 'Swine'

Lovato's new song is accompanied by a music video that shows herself coming forward to confront a group of men, which alludes to the Supreme Court, about her life, body, and choices.

She rallies the other women to step up and fight for themselves. Elsewhere in the music video, Lovato snatches a document from the men's table and rips it in half.

The song's chorus goes: "My life, my voice/My rights, my choice/It's mine, or I'm just swine," she sings. "My blood, my loins/My lungs, my noise/It's mine, or I'm just swine."

The music video also showed a map of the country with each of the states' status in regard to abortion.

Roe V. Wade's Effect

As of this writing, 14 states have banned abortion because of the 6-to-3 ruling that changed women's reproductive rights and access to abortion. States now have the power to decide whether to allow the procedure or not.

According to the New York Times, there is a full-effect ban in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Meanwhile, there is a six-week ban in effect in Georgia.

Lovato hopes that her new song will inspire and encourage others to stand their ground and fight for women's reproductive rights, "Although the path forward will be challenging, we must continue to be united in our fight for reproductive justice."
