A particular celebrity known for their controversies had a request politely declined by none other than pop icon Taylor Swift.

This is according to the Wall Street Journal.

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle was aiming high with her invite list for her podcast - though it seems that even America's number one superstar wasn't captivated enough to accept.

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry started their project Spotify podcast "Archetypes." This endeavor was initiated to address societal wrongdoings and earn some well-deserved appreciation from the public.

In August 2022, Spotify announced an estimated $25 million deal to produce their podcast series "Archetypes."

Nonetheless, the agreement only led to 12 episodes before being cut off.

As reported by BBC, both parties agreed to go their separate ways in a joint statement earlier this month.

In December 2022, this podcast achieved significant success when it was named the winner of a highly esteemed People's Choice Award in Los Angeles. Some noteworthy guests included renowned stars such as Serena Williams and Mariah Carey.

According to reports, Taylor's representative refused the offer to appear on "Archteypes" on her behalf.

Taylor Swift Performs This Song For The First Time In 11 Years

During Taylor Swift's Saturday show at Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the crowd was stunned when she unexpectedly broke out into "Dear John" - a song she hadn't performed since her 2012 tour stop in Auckland, New Zealand.

This is widely believed to have been crafted in response to her brief romantic involvement with John Mayer in 2009.

This comes after her announcement in July 7, where she revealed her plans release a "Taylor's Version" of the 2010's track "Speak Now" from her album of the same name.

The "Lavender Haze" singer told the audience from the stage, "I'm putting this album out because I want to own my music and I believe any artist who has a desire to own their music should be able to."

Before performing her song on Saturday, Taylor implored fans to show "kindness and gentleness...to our internet activities" to safeguard herself from overly enthusiastic admirers.

The "Lover" singer's plea was a subtle reminder of the importance of consideration and restraint in digital arenas.
