Camila Sterling's cause of death has been determined over three months since she was found dead inside a Miami Beach hotel room.

Sterling, an aspiring singer, was last seen on March 29 when she and married music executive David Bolno, stayed together in his luxurious hotel suite at The Setai Hotel in Miami. At 4:30 a.m. the next day, the music executive left the room before the authorities found her dead in the same room. She was 24.

Camila Sterling's Cause of Death Revealed

The newly released medical examiner's report revealed details regarding the case, confirming that the young Columbia-born singer indeed spent the night at the hotel with Bolno, who is a partner at the music management company NKSFB.

The report revealed that Sterling was found dead in a bathtub while in the fetal position, and a pink powdery substance was retrieved from a nearby coffee table which was later determined as Tusi or pink cocaine. She also had a towel wrapped around her hair, indicating that she just finished showering when she consumed the drugs.

As cited by Daily Mail, the "Hookah" singer reportedly died after consuming a cocktail of narcotics on top of the pink substance, including MDMA and ketamine. Her family, however, maintained that she was a non-drinker and non-smoker but previously suffered from seizures and epilepsy.

"Pink residue was also noted in the second bathroom sink along with a pillow on the floor," the report said. "Also, a search of the deceased's purse by law enforcement revealed another clear baggie with the same substance."

Camila Sterling's Toxicology Report

The news outlet said that the pink substance is a lab-made designer drug from Columbia and gets its name from the strawberry food dye used to change its color.

The authorities ruled her death an accidental overdose, while the toxicology report disclosed that she suffered "acute combined toxic effects of multiple drugs" accidentally. Bolno was cleared of any contribution to the case since he left the hotel room to catch a flight home to his wife and their children hours before she was found dead.

The Miami police also ruled at the beginning of the investigation that he was not a suspect in the probe.

Following her death, the music executive expressed his heartbreak and said he was helping her to make music. When asked why the singer was in his room during the odd hours, he explained that he let her stay, but there was "nothing much more to it."

Sterling's funeral was held on April 3 before her body was cremated in Opa-Locka, Miami.
