Ozzy Osbourne will no longer be part of his highly-anticipated return at the Power Trip Festival.

The Black Sabbath rocker surprised everyone when he came out of his touring retirement and announced his participation in the Power Trip Festival alongside Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Tool, and Metallica. He also revealed that he never wants to retire despite his health issues.

Ozzy Osbourne Cancels Power Trip Festival Appearance

The Power Trip Festival is set to happen in Indio, California, in October, but it recently lost one of its performers after Osbourne decided to bow out of performing at the event.

On his official Facebook page, Osbourne announced that he would no longer perform at the October festival, although he accepted the offer previously. He revealed that he originally wanted to mark his return to the stage in 2024, but he decided to take a spot at the Power Trip Festival, as well.

"Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I'm just not ready yet, and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed," he said. "The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise you will not be disappointed."

The Black Sabbath rocker did not disclose who exactly is going to replace him, but he also took his chance to thank everyone for their support and loyalty despite his recent heartbreaking decision. It also remains unknown what health issue he is facing now, which is in addition to the myriad of health issues he already faced in the past years.

Osbourne's latest health update was given by his wife, Sharon, in March in an episode of TalkTV's "Piers Morgan Uncensored." She revealed at that time that the rocker was already doing better and preparing ahead of the Power Trip Festival.

Morgan said during the conversation that "the rocker is still rocking," and she responded by saying Ozzy never stopped and that he is back now.

Ozzy Osbourne Wants To Have More Shows

Despite Osbourne's Power Trip Festival appearance's cancelation, he previously expressed his desire to continue doing live shows since it is what he lives for and that it is the "best thing" that ever happened to him.

At the same time, he shared in his SiriusXM's "Ozzy Speaks" that his wife advised him not to keep booking tours he would just cancel in the end.
