Rumors bombarded Foxx and his health status as the singer-actor and his family refused to share details regarding the medical complication he faced in April, including whether he actually suffered a stroke or any health-related issue that requires physical rehabilitation. But months after the health scare, he finally made public appearances over the past few weeks and uploaded a new video that took fans' worries away.

On Instagram, Foxx uploaded his first-ever video to address his hospitalization after a sudden medical complication months ago. Though the "Real in Rio" singer still did not mention what happened to him, he pledged he would soon come back and start working again.
The singer-actor expressed his gratitude toward everyone who prayed and sent him heartfelt messages as he dealt with an undisclosed medical condition despite the scarcity of information regarding the issue. Per Foxx, what he went through was something he thought he would never ever go through.

"I know a lot of people were waiting, wanting to hear updates," he said. "But, to be honest with you, I just didn't want you to see me like that, man. You know, I want you to see me laughing and having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie or television show."
Foxx seemingly disclosed the seriousness of his condition as he noted that he had tubes in his body that made him wonder whether he could make it through. Still, he thanked his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Marie for saving his life.

The "DJ Play a Love Song" hitmaker mentioned one of the rumors surrounding his health, saying that he never went blind unlike what people claimed. He revealed how staying quiet made things get out of hand, assuring that both his eyes are working just fine.
Foxx, who missed several projects due to his hospitalization, expressed his desire to get back on track again after going to "hell and back" as he continues his road to recovery - which, according to the singer-actor, had some potholes that lengthen his supposed short recuperation.
