At a New York auction, an extravagant piece of jewelry belonging to Tupac Shakur fetched an astonishing price tag.

The gold ring is studded with glittering diamonds and rubies, giving it an opulent look.

Making a bold and resplendent statement, this large and impressive ring is engraved with "Pac & Dada 1996" - in homage to Kidada Jones.

An intricate crown sits atop it, bedecked in jewels and exuding radiant golden hues.

Tupac's gold ring is reportedly most expensive hip-hop artifact ever to be sold at auction as the iconic crown-shaped ring fetched an incredible $1.02 million.

Widely considered a symbol of transformation, Tupac's iconic ring marked an important change in his life.

After imprisonment, he left behind his "Thug Life" persona and devoted months to designing this piece of jewelry. Recently revealed as one of history's most valuable hip-hop artifacts ever sold, it showcased Tupac's commitment to leaving his mark on culture.

Yaasmyn Fula, the godmother of Tupac and the person who put the ring up for sale, stated that it represented a "powerful" reminder of responsibility. She made it clear that this object played a significant role in Tupac's life.

"Tupac thought of himself and his creativity as a tool of expressing injustice and love."

Yaasmyn further added, "That message has been carried on with a lot of artists to this day that give him acknowledgment and say how much he inspired them."

On September 4th, 1996, the day of Tupac's last public appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, he was wearing a ring.

The legendary rapper had no idea that this would be his final outing before being tragically shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada only nine days later.

In light of the late rapper's sudden and untimely death, Las Vegas police searched his home in connection with this tragedy. As a result, they found a ring that is now up for sale.

On July 17, 2023, Henderson Police Department confirmed that they had served a search warrant to assist in their ongoing investigation of Tupac Shakur's death.

When asked for additional details, officers stated that there would be no further comment at this time.

On the fateful evening of September 7th, 1996, Tupac Shakur was sitting in the passenger seat of a blue BMW 750 Sedan. Behind the wheel was Marion "Suge" Knight and they were driving along.

Suddenly, a white Cadillac pulled up beside them, its rear window rolling down and exposing a shooter aiming at opening fire.

Six months before his death, Christopher Wallace - better known by his stage name as "Notorious BIG" - tragically experienced a similar fate after another drive-by shooting ended with an iconic rapper's life being taken.
