A new claim suggested that Madonna's "Celebration" tour faced low ticket sales despite reports regarding the sold-out shows.

Madonna and her team postponed her highly-anticipated "Celebration" tour after the Queen of Pop's hospitalization due to a serious bacterial infection. She has since been discharged from the ICU and was seen several times in public, indicating that the singer is doing well after the health scare.

The exact new schedule is yet to be confirmed, but a new claim said there would be changes due to "low ticket sales."

Will Madonna's 'Celebration' Tour Be a Flop?

Radar Online (via Ok! Magazine) received a tip from a source who claimed that Madonna suffered another blow because of her "Celebration" tour.

According to the unnamed insider, the 64-year-old "Back That Up To The Beat" hitmaker reportedly realized she is not as famous as she used to be that she reportedly downsized her tour venues due to a lack of ticket sales.

This, however, contradicted what major news outlets and Live Nation Entertainment said of Madonna's "Celebration" tour.

In January, Billboard reported that Madonna decided to add 23 concerts to the original 37 dates due to high demand. At that time, 98 percent of the tickets sold out as 600,000 tickets were acquired hours after the selling started.

Madonna's long-time promoter with Live Nation, Arthur Fogel, said it was a huge day for Madonna because of her fans. Fifty-one shows went on sale on that day, and 35 of which immediately sold out within minutes.

"The Celebration Tour will offer a one-of-a-kind experience with special guest Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue, across all dates on the global tour," Live Nation said.

Did Madonna Fake Her Illness?

Amid damaging speculations about Madonna, the claim said that the "Frozen on Fire" singer indeed faked her illness due to poor ticket sales.

"Her sickness is a ruse, and the real reason she canceled the tour is because her tour sales were dismal," said the source. However, more sources blamed her tiring rehearsals as the cause of her hospitalization.

There was also a rumor that the "Like a Prayer" crooner was already brain-dead during her ICU stay. The Associated Press soon conducted a fact-checking process and assessment of the claim, and it soon found out that the report was "false and fabricated."
