Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams cannot put her health at risk any longer. After trying to carry on with the "This Is Why" tour despite her doctor's advice, she has finally decided to put her health first.

Back in July, Paramore postponed a handful of shows, namely their concerts in Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake City, due to Williams' lung infection.

However, it has been a little under a month, and Williams' lung infection is still not fully healed, which is largely due to her still performing and singing instead of getting proper treatment and rest.

"After speaking with our team and my doc, I know that trying to finish this tour is now going to come at a detriment to my health," the singer wrote on her Instagram Stories. "My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up."

Paramore Cancels 'This is Why' Tour

According to reports, Williams went on to explain how things "got a little scary" during their most recent show, and that was when they finally decided that it was time to cancel the last two shows of the "This is Why" tour.

"I have been doing everything I can to fight this infection so we wouldn't have to disappoint anyone with more news of postponements and cancellations," Williams continued.

"After struggling through the last few shows and consulting with my doctor, we're unfortunately realizing that it's past the point of wanting to push through to put on a good show for all of you."

Williams is reportedly facing "long-term damage" if she neglected her health and carried on with the tour, she also noted how she needed to "pay

attention to [her] body."

Hayley Williams Priotizes Her Health

According to reports, Paramore promised to give refunds for the canceled shows. They will not be performing in Portland and Salt Lake City.

"We are so sorry to all of you who were so patient with us as we rescheduled these and likely rearranged travel plans to still come out," Williams apologetically said.

"I physically can not go on. I know this isn't great news for anyone. Thank you so much for your continued support."

As of this writing, there is no specific or explicit information regarding Williams' lung infection, or when Paramore will be back on to performing, especially since they are set to perform alongside Taylor Swift next year for her "The Eras" tour in Europe.
