A security hired during one of Taylor Swift's "The Eras" tour shows was fired after asking fans to take his picture.

Fans might recognize the security because he went a bit viral online among the "Anti-Hero" singer's fan community for singing along to "Cruel Summer" during a Minneapolis show.

Apparently, the security, Calvin Decker, really applied for the position to be able to attend "The Eras" tour without having to pay for the outrageously overpriced and highly coveted tickets.

"After night one, I was realizing how close Taylor Swift was getting to me, so I really wanted to get a photo to document it," Decker said, according to Variety.

"So I handed down these little pieces of paper that said I wasn't allowed to have my phone out, but if Taylor Swift comes right behind me, please take a photo of me and text it to my number."

He went on to explain how it was part of his job to watch over the crowd and make sure they were not being unruly, and not face the stage-or in this case, watch Swift perform.

The viral video of himself was actually not filmed by one of the people he handed the notes to but was nonetheless pretty glad that it went viral.

However, not everyone was happy with Decker going viral because the human resources department of Best Crowd Management fired him.

Taylor Swift, Security Fiasco

Every venue Swift performs at, there are different security lining the stage, both for the singer's and the fans' protection.

Several cities have encountered pretty rough security, while others were pretty chill, like Decker.

Decker took to social media after he was fired and revealed what had happened after his video went viral.

"Long story short: I was fired for it," he said in a video he uploaded to TikTok. "My former security company said that they had a rule against taking photos with any of the performers.

"The main issue that they had was with my follow-up video where I said I handed pieces of paper to the people in front of me to ask to be sent any photos that I made my way into."

Taylor Swift's Security Unjustly Fired?

Decker went on to explain that the human resources personnel did not elaborate or articulate what exactly he did wrong.

"I didn't do anything beyond asking for photos, which is what happens at any other concert, with the only exception being that I made sure I got any that I was included in.

"Every photo of me from that night was from behind the barricade like any other photo from a fan would be. I never took my own phone out. And above all else, I made sure that Taylor Swift was safe and all the fans had a good time. As long as I was at that concert, I was doing my job."
