Nearly two years after the conservatorship she was held under ended, Britney Spears reportedly desires a reconciliation with her father, Jamie Spears.

The pop star is said to be concerned about his wellbeing and doesn't want to have any regrets regarding waiting too long to reach out.

This comes after confirmation that Britney and her husband of one year Sam Asghari are headed to a divorce.

Reports from TMZ state that since Jamie underwent a knee replacement 16 years ago, he has experienced health issues.

Britney's brother Bryan has kept his sister informed about their father's condition, and Jamie is thrilled at the possibility of reconnecting with her after the legal dispute between them. He holds no grudge.

The only relative Britney has been in contact with recently is her brother.

Britney and her father remain engaged in a highly contested legal battle despite the dispute. Jamie has argued that his conservatorship of Britney was necessary to keep her alive.

In the wake of earlier reconciliations made this year, Britney's feud with her family appears to have reignited.

Reports from last month suggested that steps had been taken to reconcile, including her removing harmful material about Lynne and Jamie Lynn from her memoir, "The Woman In Me." However, the current state of their relationship remains to be determined.

In a recent interview with a close friend of the "Baby One More Time" hitmaker, Britney Spears shared her frustration about the 13-year conservatorship administered by her family members.

Just recently, she chose to cut out all of the most intense sections from her memoir to restore her bonding with Lynne, 68, and Jamie Lynn, 32.

She believes removing those parts will give her a chance at healing their relationship.

Britney was not requested to erase her insults regarding Lynne or Jamie Lynn, according to a source who conversed with the Daily Mail. Yet, the singer elected to delete them of her own volition.

The source reports that the bond between Britney and her younger sister has drastically improved, even in light of the scathing accusations made against Britney in Jamie Lynn's 2022 book "Things I Should Have Said."

The two sisters have promised never to speak negatively of one another. Reportedly, their relationship is "the best it's ever been."

Meanwhile, In May, Lynne made a surprise journey from Kentwood, Louisiana to Thousand Oaks, California to visit Britney at her home. During the same period, she shared a meal with Jamie Lynn, too.
